I'm turning into a Poser fashion whore
Not sure what to really say or think about this. I love to look at women. As a man, that's a good thing, other than the fact my wife gets a bit peeved, but it does allow me the satisfaction of knowing I'm still appreciating the female form :)
Now, as a Poser user, I find myself looking at and buying, or wishing I could buy, all these cool new clothing items for Victoria 3, Stephanie Petite, and the rest. Some of them are extremely sexy. The poses available are extremely sexy as well.
BUT ... I'm a man, what the HELL am I doing looking at and buying these clothing items and dressing some 3D model, mesh looking woman ? Girls are supposed to play with Barbie, not men. What is going on here? I'm starting to wonder if I have something loose in my head.
Am I a pervert for sexily dressed up 3D mesh women ????
Is this some kind of sexual fantasy that I know I can't have? (you know, I'm a fat old guy with no money) .
What is it that's drawing me into this? I'm really not understanding. I should be out guzzling beer with the guys, shooting at bambi, catching helpless fish down by the bridge, or playing poker, pool, or some other manly pastime, you know, rebuilding cars, carpentry work, stuff like that.
But no, I'm buying dresses and lingerie for Victoria and dressing her up...then posing her....and rendering her. What is up with that ????

Hey, man, that's totally cool - buying those things and dressing up those girls. It's what keeps the Poser website economy going, and from what I hear, the best way to produce a prize-winning image is to use as many store-bought items as possible.
However, I did also see a cartoon show called "The Simpsons" in which some old guy's sweetheart named Waylon has a big collection of Barbie dolls which he likes to dress up in fancy new outfits, and he rushes down to the toy store every time they have a sale. So maybe somebody should tell Waylon about Vickie 3  Small wonder Waylon wants to dress her up, since I understand he hates looking at naked women anyway
Then comes the day that none of the outfits you can buy are exactly what you want, and you have to start making your own.
I suspect that if it was socially acceptable, a lot more boys would enjoy playing with dolls. Maybe the world would be a better place for it. ;)

OF COURSE!!! And welcome to the amazing world of 3D Fashion Perverts!!! ;)

If it helps any, I prefer to tink of Poser figures not as "Dolls" (girly stuff), but "Action Figures" (boy type stuff).
What "actions" you choose to have Vicky do in whipy little nothing type lingeree is enirely up to yersef ;-)
I know some people think of Poser as virtual barbie dolls (God knows I get that thrown in my face too), but I don't see it that way. I see movies! I see art! I see the next big revolution in art!
My degree and career are in art. I think it's cool people who never drew can make art too now that Poser has made 3D simple. I'm fasincated by the technical side of Poser. I want to pop the under and take apart the engine to understand how it all works.
